Novel Fungicide Trial-University of the Sunshine Coast

The University of the Sunshine Coast trials Elmsavers Novel 2 Fungicide on Quambalaria Shoot Tip Blight (Quambalaria Pitereka) and Myrtle Rust (Austropuccinia Psidii). Both Eucalyptus and Corymbia species were trialled. Delivery methods were wet spray and direct bark application.

Encouraging results point to further research and product registration with the APVMA. Elmsavers Novel 2 fungicide has the advantage of multi seasonal control as seen in other field trials with other species. The delivery can either be direct tree injection or bark application. Bark application is an extremely fast and efficient way of delivering chemistry, the active ingredients quickly penetrates the periderm.Read about our Bark stem application

Elmsavers Novel 2 fungicide and its active ingredient has broad spectrum activity on multiple pathogens. In vitro testing of the active ingredient in both Australia and the United States has revealed remarkably high activity on Ceratocystis species. This is of particular importance for potential registration in the United States. Final-Report-Nov2021

We would like to thank David Lee, Anne Marie Smit & Trinh Huynh for the opportunity to take part in these trials. Further appreciation and thanks to the University of The Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia.
